This is a very fun and easy holiday recipe from my Maternal grandmother. For my Sorority Alumnae group’s Christmas party, I resurrected this from the Cedar Lake Ladies Fellowship Circle Cook Book. Enjoy!
Ooey-Gooey Bars
Crust:
- 1 Box Butter Cake Mix
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Stick Butter (Softened)
- 1 Cup Pecans (Chopped)
Mix above ingredients. Press into lightly greased 9X13 pan.
Rest of Bars:
- 1 Box of Confectioners Sugar
- 1 Pack Cream Cheese (8 oz)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
Mix and pour over batter that’s already in pan. Cook at 350 for about 40-45 minutes. Put chocolate chips on top while bars are still warm.
Helpful Tips:
** Grease pan very well. They can be hard to get out.
**For easy serving, cut the bars and place them in cupcake holders.
OOOO!!!! I hope you use this as your link up for the MSWB cookie swap!
I may try to post peanut butter fudge and pralines as well in the next few weeks. Stay tuned 🙂
Oh, these look yummy!
